Fiumicino Rome and Ciampino Rome Transfers
Fiumicino Airport (Leonardo da Vinci) is Rome’s main airport and is easily accessible from the city center via various transport options. The solutions from Rome to Fiumicino are the same for the reverse journey from the airport to the city.
The Leonardo Express offers a direct and fast connection without intermediate stops. It is the quickest way to travel between Rome and Fiumicino. Not included in the Roma Pass.
Regional trains are a cheaper but slightly slower alternative to the Leonardo Express. Not included in the Roma Pass.
Buses are one of the most economical options, although travel times can vary due to traffic. Not included in the Roma Pass.
Taxis offer a convenient and direct transfer. Make sure to use official white taxis. Not included in the Roma Pass.
Private transfers provide the most comfortable and customizable solution, especially for those traveling in groups or with a lot of luggage. Not included in the Roma Pass.
Ciampino Airport is Rome’s secondary airport, primarily used by low-cost airlines. The transport options from Rome to Ciampino are identical for the reverse journey from the airport to the city.
Major bus companies (Terravision, SIT Bus Shuttle, Schiaffini) offer direct connections between Termini Station and the airport. Not included in the Roma Pass.
This is an economical option, but requires a transfer between train and bus. Not included in the Roma Pass.
Taxis offer a quick and convenient way to reach Ciampino Airport. Not included in the Roma Pass.
Private transfers provide maximum comfort, especially for those who prefer a personalized service. Not included in the Roma Pass.
The Roma Pass offers unlimited access to Rome’s public transportation for 48 or 72 hours, but does not cover specific routes to the airports, such as the Leonardo Express or private bus services. However, you can use it for public transport within the city, except for the direct routes to Fiumicino and Ciampino, for which you need a separate ticket. For Ciampino Airport, it is possible to use the ATAC bus line 720, which departs from or arrives at Piazzale Laurentina (Metro B, platform VI), or the ATAC line 520, which departs from or arrives at Metro A stations Subaugusta (terminus, piazza in front of the stop) and Cinecittà.
